Trident Agra

The Trident is an Oasis in Agra, a stunning property - 1 Road and 5 mins drive outside of the Taj Mahal East Gate. We took the suite, and the level of service from all members of staff inc the trainees - from housekeeping to the restaurant, poolside, front of house to the general manager was exceptional and epitomises the Oberoi and what it stands for. The hotel pricing at the restaurant and for drinks is okay for a 5* property but is more akin to western pricing than Indian. We had some troubles/ insecurities around getting a 5am train but the hotel provided a member of staff to assist us and wait with us at the station and onto the train which made us feel safe and comfortable. We have stayed in many luxury hotels around the world and this one is right up there with the very best. Thank you to everyone at Trident for making our trip to Taj Mahal unforgettable

The property was very well looked after. Everything was kept clean and tidy. The staff were very helpful, especially in the restaurant. They happily catered to our very difficult dietary requirements. The rooms were in really good condition. The bathrooms were very clean and well maintained with excellent shower pressure and amenities. The rooms were spacious and clean, with ample luggage space and storage space for hanging items as well as a safe. The pool was clean, and I’m not sure if the temperature was controlled but or not but it felt like a lovely heated pool - still cool and refreshing but not freezing cold, even in the evenings. The gardens, lawns and veggie patches were nice to walk around and explore. We even got to see (and hear) some peacocks on our walk!

Stepping outside, we were greeted by a beautifully manicured green patio, a serene oasis that provided the perfect escape from the bustle of daily life. Service was impeccable—efficient, friendly, and always a step ahead of our needs. Every request was met with prompt attention, making my stay seamless and enjoyable. Whether for a short getaway or an extended stay, this hotel delivers on comfort, ambiance, and hospitality. I’ll definitely be returning!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Trident Hotel, and I can’t say enough good things about my experience! The hotel boasts lovely, well-maintained gardens that create a serene atmosphere, perfect for relaxation. The staff, from the doorman to the housekeeping team, were incredibly attentive, helpful, and friendly, making us feel welcomed throughout our stay. Our room was spacious and impeccably clean, with great attention to detail that truly enhanced our comfort. The beautiful gardens and pool area provided a lovely setting to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. I would like to give a special shout-out to Tina at the front desk and bartender Vivek, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Their warm hospitality and personalized service made a significant difference. We also attended the wonderful Christmas gala dinner on Christmas Eve, which featured a tasteful and delicious spread of both Indian and Western cuisine. It was a delightful culinary experience that added to the festive spirit of our stay. Overall, I highly recommend the Trident Hotel for anyone looking for a luxurious and enjoyable getaway. We came into Agra for one night to visit the Taj Mahal and were running late so we went straight to the Taj before it closed. My daughter was not feeling well so I went back with her to the Trident. The Trident not only checked her in quickly, but they told me to go back and see the Taj Mahal- "they would take care of her". The staff not only escorted my daughter to her room, but they got her tea service and hot a water bottle-making sure she was o.k. before they left. Then when we decided we needed her to see a doctor, they got one for us right away. AND our other daughter had just celebrated her engagement. We had told the hotel that we were celebrating an engagement but not whose it was in our party of 12. They figured it out and left a "congratulations" chocolate cake with rose petals on her bed as a surprise. The staff were incredible - would highly recommend.
