Trident Agra

The Trident is an Oasis in Agra, a stunning property - 1 Road and 5 mins drive outside of the Taj Mahal East Gate. We took the suite, and the level of service from all members of staff inc the trainees - from housekeeping to the restaurant, poolside, front of house to the general manager was exceptional and epitomises the Oberoi and what it stands for. The hotel pricing at the restaurant and for drinks is okay for a 5* property but is more akin to western pricing than Indian. We had some troubles/ insecurities around getting a 5am train but the hotel provided a member of staff to assist us and wait with us at the station and onto the train which made us feel safe and comfortable. We have stayed in many luxury hotels around the world and this one is right up there with the very best. Thank you to everyone at Trident for making our trip to Taj Mahal unforgettable

The property was very well looked after. Everything was kept clean and tidy. The staff were very helpful, especially in the restaurant. They happily catered to our very difficult dietary requirements. The rooms were in really good condition. The bathrooms were very clean and well maintained with excellent shower pressure and amenities. The rooms were spacious and clean, with ample luggage space and storage space for hanging items as well as a safe. The pool was clean, and I’m not sure if the temperature was controlled but or not but it felt like a lovely heated pool - still cool and refreshing but not freezing cold, even in the evenings. The gardens, lawns and veggie patches were nice to walk around and explore. We even got to see (and hear) some peacocks on our walk!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Trident Hotel, and I can’t say enough good things about my experience! The hotel boasts lovely, well-maintained gardens that create a serene atmosphere, perfect for relaxation. The staff, from the doorman to the housekeeping team, were incredibly attentive, helpful, and friendly, making us feel welcomed throughout our stay. Our room was spacious and impeccably clean, with great attention to detail that truly enhanced our comfort. The beautiful gardens and pool area provided a lovely setting to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. I would like to give a special shout-out to Tina at the front desk and bartender Vivek, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Their warm hospitality and personalized service made a significant difference. We also attended the wonderful Christmas gala dinner on Christmas Eve, which featured a tasteful and delicious spread of both Indian and Western cuisine. It was a delightful culinary experience that added to the festive spirit of our stay. Overall, I highly recommend the Trident Hotel for anyone looking for a luxurious and enjoyable getaway. Very nice stay at Trident Agra. Nice property, fantastic breakfast, very attentive staff, especially at the restaurant. Added value - the hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the metro line. Though the metro line is short as of now, it brings you at to the entrance of the 2 most important points of interest in Agra - the Taj Mahal and the Agra fort. The pool and the green are lovely and the evening activities for the kids is a nice bonus.

During my travels across various hotels, I have rarely encountered such exceptional hospitality as at the Trident in Agra, a standout experience particularly in India. We had a three-night stay in their clean and spacious rooms. The room service was prompt and attentive, reflecting their meticulous attention to detail in every aspect. The culinary experience was a highlight, with food and cocktails that were nothing short of excellent. The restaurant offered a delightful taste of India. While prices were above average for India, they were justified by the quality and service. What touched us most was the personalized care in helping us navigate Agra and Indian culture. The skilled drivers arranged by the hotel drove impeccably clean and spacious vehicles, adding comfort to our travels. Additionally, our transport to a nearby hotel for a wedding was conveniently arranged without any additional fee, a gesture we greatly appreciated. In conclusion, I highly recommend staying at the Trident in Agra without hesitation. For those looking to indulge further, the Oberoi is also a splendid choice.
